Two men have appeared in court accused of attacking a female stranger who had to be taken to hospital with face and head injuries.
Tyler Williams, 31, and Shamen Williams, 28, who were arrested last week, are also accused of assaulting three men in another incident.
Police say around 9.40pm on March 4, the woman parked her car near a shop in Richmond Road, Gillingham.
As she got out, it is alleged she was assaulted by two men who are also said to have damaged her vehicle.
She did not know the attackers and was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment.
Just over an hour later, in Institute Road, Chatham, three men also reported being assaulted.
One of them was taken to a London hospital with injuries to his face, shoulder and back, while another was treated locally. The third victim did not require hospital treatment.
Tyler Williams, of Tonbridge Road, Maidstone, and Shamen Williams, of Tupman Close, Rochester, were charged with four counts of wounding with intent, criminal damage and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Tyler Williams was additionally charged with dangerous driving in connection with a separate incident.
They appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and were remanded in custody to appear at a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on April 9
