Police have cordoned off an area of a recreation ground after a woman told officers she was sexually assaulted.

Few details of the incident have been released by police who say they were contacted at about 9.30pm on Tuesday by a woman who told them she had been assaulted earlier in the day.
A section of Jackson's Field in Rochester has been cordoned off by police, near to New Road and to the Star Hill roundabout, so forensic officers can carry out an investigation.
A spokesman for Medway Police said: “Police were contacted in the evening to a report of a sexual assault on a woman earlier in the day, officers are currently investigating.”
