In total, Guscott has now been charged with 40 offences.

Guscott, of Kemp Close, Chatham, has only recently been identified, as a ban on naming him was lifted at court.

The Contempt of Court Act Order order had been made by Medway Magistrates after his arrest.

But prosecutor Peter Forbes told a judge at Maidstone Crown Court last month that the reporting restriction was no longer needed.

Appearing at the time by TV link with Elmley Prison, Sheppey, Guscott entered not guilty pleas to 18 charges – nine of sexual assault, one of exposure, one of assault by penetration, four of robbery, one of attempted robbery and two of assault causing actual bodily harm.

Most of the alleged offences happened in Gillingham and Rainham, with two allegedly happening in Whitstable.

At the time, Mr Forbes told Judge Jonathan Carroll: “This is a considerable enquiry into a number of offences on women.”

He added there had been up to 90 offences identified which are being investigated in relation to the defendant and there was expected to be further charges.

A provisional date for his trial, expected to last at least four weeks, was set at his last crown court appearance for October 19.
