A shop is now without a licence after a police raid found drugs and weapons inside.
Police were carrying out a routine check at the Chatham Food and Wine store in Chatham High Street.
They found what they suspected to be illegal drugs, as well as a baseball bat and a knife, and requested a review of the store’s licence due to concerns around two licensing objectives: prevention of crime and disorder and public safety.
A review hearing was conducted and the owner's licence for the convenience store was revoked, as of August 11.
A 33-year-old man, from Belvedere, arrested during the initial inspection on July 21 on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and possessing an offensive weapon.
He has been bailed until 7 September pending further inquiries.
