A GP surgery has been blocked off and patients turned away after a suspected case of coronavirus.
DMC healthcare, which has around 9,000 people on its books, closed its premises at Boots inside Chatham's Pentagon centre this morning at around 10.30am.
It is understood a member of the public arrived at the surgery displaying virus-like symptoms.
Paramedics are believed to have been called to deal with them.
A barrier has been placed in front of its doors with a note advising people of the closure.
It asked them to phone to make appointments and said Public Health England had been informed of the situation.
At present it is just the surgery cordoned off, but initially the whole back section of Boots from the baby clothes down was.
The actual shopping centre has remained opened and the surgery is currently undergoing a deep clean.
The development comes after it was revealed Medway has two confirmed cases of the illness.
Attempts have been made to reach the Pentagon and DMC for comment.
