Peter Andre, Blue and Jermain Jackman perform at Rochester Castle Concerts
09:30, 17 July 2015
Headliner Peter Andre had warned everyone to bring their dancing shoes, and fans certainly left last's concert needing new ones.
The Aussie pop-star, joined by boyband Blue and Jermain Jackman, had crowds dancing the night away at what turned out to be the first of this year's Castle Concerts.
Although fans of Status Quo were left disappointed when the band cancelled at the last minute after guitarist Rick Parfitt became ill, the crowds gathered at Rochester Castle last night went home with sore throats and smiles on their faces.
Jermain Jackman, winner of The Voice 2014, opened the show and blew the crowd away with his powerful vocals and beautiful voice.
Next up where the boys from Blue, who performed a mixture of their old and new songs, opening with their latest single King of the World.
People who've followed the band since they started in 2000, got to sing along to hits such as One Love, All Rise, Fly By and Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word.
The concert sold out with the final 15 tickets being snapped up on the day. Thousands of fans packed into the castle grounds when the gates opened at 4.30pm.
Armed with picnic blankets, fold out chairs and snacks, there was a party atmosphere as they waited for the performers to come on.
People had come from all over Medway, Kent and beyond, and included hen parties, birthday parties and families.
Peter Andre's family were also in attendance, watching from in front of the barrier and then joining him on stage.
As promised, he pulled four members of the crowd up on stage to dance with him - although cruelly sending them off again after just a few lines. But he later made up for it by bringing them back on to dance to Mysterious Girl.
He also brought Jermain Jackman back on stage to sing Stevie Wonder's hit, Signed, Sealed, Delivered - a song Blue also sang during their set.
He closed the evening with new song, Just A Jam, performed with his 10-piece blues, jazz-funk band.

Tonight is 80s party night with Sara Cox, Billy Ocean and Formerly of Bucks Fizz. Tickets can be purchased from thecastleconcerts.co.uk
