These pictures show the mangled wrecks of two cars after a town centre smash in the early hours - but miraculously no one was seriously hurt.
Police were called to a reported two vehicle crash in Strood High Street at around 2.15am on Saturday.
The vehicles had collided at the junction with Station Road, with one car then hitting a lampost in the middle of the junction.
One witness, who did not want to be named, said the white car was coming across the bridge from Rochester towards Strood while the black car came from Station Road.
It is thought the driver of the black car went through a red light.
Ambulance crews attended but police said no serious injuries were reported.
A police spokesman said: "The driver of one of the vehicles is reported to have left the scene. Enquiries to locate them are ongoing."
