Firefighters use breathing apparatus to enter home to put out blaze at home in Borstal Street, Rochester

Firefighters tackled a fire in a home in Rochester yesterday afternoon which saw smoke billowing from an upstairs window.
Crews from Strood were called out to the home in Borstal Street, shortly after 3.30pm and had to enter the properly wearing breathing apparatus to put out the flames.
It is understood no one was injured during the incident and after spending about 20 minutes putting out the flames firefighters then ventilated the property to disperse the smoke.
The crew had put the fire out shortly before 4pm.
