Snow has began to fall in parts of Rainham and Chatham as many pupils get extra day off

It has begun to snow again in parts of Medway this morning as many a pupils get a day off to go sledging.
Parts of Rainham has seen snow fall this morning as have homes on Blue Bell Hill, in Chatham, as these pictures taken by resident, Richard Rodgers show.
Several schools across the Towns are closed as a result of last night’s snowfall.
These include Greenacre Academy, Chatham, Robert Napier, Gillingham, The Hundred of Hoo Academy, Hoo, The Will Adam pupil referral unit in Gillingham and more.
Last night a car skidded down Onslow Road, in Rochester, at about 6.30pm and hit another vehicle before crashing through a garden wall.
Police attended the scene and no one suffered serious injury.
A woman who lives nearby said as the police patrol car left the area, it too skidded on the snow and got stuck for short time next to a kerb.
Amanda Gilbert took this photo as she got out of her car on the way home in Walderslade.
It took Miss Gilbert, 29, two hours to get home from her workplace in Chatham to her home in Lordswood.
Rob Wills kmfm Drivetime presenter praised Kent Police on the radio this morning as he stood in for Gary Wilson on Breakfast.
He said: “I massive thank to Kent Police and the four-by-four experts who got people moving in their cars last night.”

Richard Rodgers, who lives in Blue Bell Hill, took photos of his llamas and horses enjoying some extra hay as he reported snow started to fall again near his home this morning.
The Met Office weather warning for ice has been issued from 4pm today until noon tomorrow.
