A Medway dad is going to great lengths to thank hospital staff who saved his daughter’s life.
Steve Marwood is on a quest to complete 40 sporting events in his 40th year - and raise £40,000 for the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
Mr Marwood, dad to Honor, nine, and Pearl, six, has already completed several challenges, including a 340-mile bike ride from the hospital to Land’s End.
Today he will be taking part in the Leybourne Lakes triathlon near Snodland.
He said: “My daughter Honor had a very tough start.
"She was born at Medway Maritime Hospital and diagnosed with a heart condition.
"She was transferred to the Royal Brompton where she spent six weeks in intensive care.”
