Wetherspoon staff assaulted at Golden Lion pub, Rochester

A woman staff member was assaulted by a group of customers after trying to remove them from the pub she works at.

She had a drink thrown over her and vapour from an e-cigarette blown in her face.

The incident happened on Sunday at 11.50pm, at the Golden Lion Wetherspoon's in Rochester High Street.

A male colleague was punched, kicked and had a chair thrown at him.

Officers are investigating the disturbance and have released a CCTV image.

Investigating officer PC Emily Speyer said: "We are issuing this picture of a man who we believe may be able to assist us with our inquiries.

"Although the image is blurry we are hopeful someone will still be able to recognise him and tell us who he is."
