Steve Binks believes better times are on the way for Chatham Town

Steve Binks says Chatham fans can expect an upturn in the club’s fortunes under their new management team.
Andy Benniman has returned to Maidstone Road to take charge of the reserve side and Binks, the Chats’ director of football, says in first-team player-coach Kevin Watson, Benniman and new under-18 manager Darren Phillips the club have a management trio who "all share a very positive attitude and have good ideas".
Binks (pictured) is also hoping that Benniman’s return to the club may also see his son, Ryan, decide to rejoin Chatham after the 19-year-old midfielder’s recent release by Gillingham.
Chatham begin pre-season training on Saturday, after which they are holding a barbecue at the ground for the club’s coaches and officials.
