An arsonist set a fire in a storage room underneath the taxi rank at the Pentagon Shopping Centre, during the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters from Medway were called out to the rank in The Brook, Chatham, at about 5.30am.
When they arrived they found a fire in a traffic signage storage room under the ramp leading up to the former bus station inside the shopping centre.
A crew spent about half-an-hour at the scene and said the room was full of road signs but said the fire was a small one.
