14:42, 08 August 2018
Families looking for activities this summer holiday can head to a shopping centre for plenty of free fun.
Hempstead Valley is putting on numerous activities until August 19, with many celebrating the centre’s 40th year.
A team from kmfm will be running events in the first week until Sunday.
Then Heart Radio will take over from Monday, August 13 to Sunday, August 19.
There will be a treasure hunt where families need to spot vintage photos of Hempstead Valley around the centre.
Other events include arts and crafts, face painting and a giant games of Jenga and four in a row.
The shopping centre is also inviting children to enter a drawing competition to celebrate the special anniversary.
Children need to colour in and decorate the number 40.
The winners will be on display during the birthday celebrations in October.
All customers have the chance to win £250 in vouchers to spend at Hempstead Valley.
Events will be held inside the centre, outside Boots from 11am to 3pm.
