Taco Bell wants to open a restaurant at a retail complex.
The American fast food chain has submitted a change of use application to Medway Council to move in to the vacant Wok N Go unit at Chatham Dockside, Maritime Way.
The proposed eatery would create 12 full-time and 20 part-time jobs and serve food from 11am to 11pm every day but first the authority must approve a slight alteration in the use of the building from takeaway to takeaway and restaurant.
According to a letter sent to the council it will seat 30 diners.
If approved it would be the first Taco Bell in Kent, after it pulled out of plans to open in Dartford.
