Teenager in court over One Stop Shop robbery bid in Magpie Hall Road, Chatham

A teenager has been in court after shop workers were threatened with a fake gun during an attempted robbery.
On Monday a teenager burst into One Stop Shop newsagents in Magpie Hall Road, Chatham.
He harassed members of staff with what police have described as an "imitation firearm".
No staff were injured or items stolen.
However, one of the shop windows was damaged.
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Chatham on Tuesday evening.
He was later charged with attempted robbery, possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and criminal damage.
He was remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
At the hearing, he was further remanded in custody and will next appear at Medway Youth Court on Tuesday.
