Man, 19, charged with attempted murder after attack in Rochester

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing.
Jimmy Devlin was arrested after an incident in The Tideway, Rochester, where the victim suffered multiple wounds.
Police were called at 6.37pm on Tuesday to an area close to a communal entrance for flats.
Officers and ambulance crews went to the scene and the victim, who is in his 20s, was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Devlin, of Stock Close, Rochester, was arrested at around 4am on Wednesday and later charged with attempted murder.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
After appearing in the court, the 19-year-old was once again remanded in custody and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on February 17.
A 54-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released pending further investigation.
