A man has been charged after another man was allegedly stabbed in Lordswood.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a wound to his chest following an attack in Newton Close, Lordswood, on Wednesday night.
Police and paramedics were called to the residential street, at the junction of Sultan Road, at 6.30pm.
Part of the road was taped off by police. There were several police cars and an ambulance on the scene.
The victim was taken to Medway hospital for treatment. His injury is described as non-life threatening.
Kieron Benfield, 27, of Albury Close in Lordswood, has been charged with wounding with intent.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
A 24-year-old woman who was also arrested in connection with the offence has received a police caution.
