Teenage girl from Rochester arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after crash in Orchard Street, Rainham

A teenage girl has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a crash that left a woman with a serious head injury.
Emergency services were called to Orchard Street, Rainham around 2.35am after a black Renault Clio collided with a parked car and ended up on its roof.
Three fire engines were sent to the scene and firefighters freed a female passenger from the car.
Crews removed the side door of the vehicle to release the woman using hydraulic rescue equipment.
The woman was taken to a London hospital with a serious head injury that is not reported to be life threatening.
An 18-year-old girl from Rochester was also taken to a local hospital for treatment for injuries that were not reported to be serious.
She was also arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and has been released, pending further enquiries.
Officers investigating the collision are now appealing for information.
They would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident, or who may have seen the Clio being driven in the moments leading up to the collision.
