Chatham: Teen arrested after 'acid attack' on New Year's Day

A woman has been treated in hospital after a suspected acid attack in Chatham town centre.
Police were called to Best Street following the alleged assault at 9.45pm yesterday.
A mystery substance had been sprayed into the woman's face, which caused a burning sensation.
She was taken to hospital but has since been released.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
Witnesses reported seeing a large emergency services presence near the White Lion pub, including police, ambulances and fire crews.
