Man attacked at Rainham Shopping Centre, two teenagers arrested

A 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were arrested after a man was assaulted yesterday evening.
Witnesses saw a the victim, in his 40s, lying on the floor in Rainham Shopping Centre, off Station Road, at about 7.20pm with blood pouring down his face.
The girl, from Gillingham, and the boy, from Maidstone, were arrested at the scene but have since been released pending further investigation.
The man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with a cut to his face. It was not believed to be serious.
Police spokesman Andy Saunders said inquiries were being carried out to establish the full circumstances.
