A bakery business serving egg-less cakes has opened its second branch in Kent.
Cake House Bakery is now operating in High Street, Chatham, and hopes it can bring extra business to the town.
The cake shop specialises in 100% vegetarian cakes that are made without eggs.
There is a vast range of cakes on sale which include Black Forest, coffee cake, mixed fruit and Ferrero Rocher.
Franchise owner, Rick Bhambra, has fourteen years of experience in the cake industry but opened his own cake shop in 2020.
Since then, the 44-year-old’s business has expanded across the country.
Mr Bhambra said: “We cater for everybody with a quality product which is great value for money.
“We have state-of-the-art prep kitchens so all our cakes are fresh and made on site.
“There is a huge market for cakes and we are very keen to open in Chatham as it’s a very busy town.
“I am hoping we can support the community and bring in business and get more customers into the town.
“The area was missing a good cake shop.”
Rajwant Singh and Reetpal Kaur Brar are the two franchisees who will be running the shop on a day-to-day basis.
Mrs Brar told KentOnline she is very excited about being in the cake shop business.
She said: “It is really nice to have it finally opened after a year of getting everything ready.
“We have been very busy.”
She added : “I cannot even chose my favourite cake, they are all my favourite.”
The store celebrated its opening on June 15 and is offering tasters to customers.
You can find the shop at 163 High Street, Chatham.
