Ginger and white cat Benji, who is a gentle and affectionate boy, needs a home in time for Christmas.
This former stray, only about six months old, had been wandering around gardens in Cliffe and tried to get into some of the houses.
A cat lover invited Benji into her home and then asked Anim-Mates to help find his owner.
Fosterer Bobbie Bajwa said: “When I picked him up Benji was full of ticks and fleas. A quick visit to the vet saw the ticks removed and the fleas eradicated.
“For the first few days in our care he just wanted to savour the comfort of a warm bed. But, it wasn’t long before he showed us his playful side.”
Benji has been assessed and can live with other cats and responsible children.
Like all Anim-Mates cats he comes neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
If you can offer Benji a home, call Bobbie on 07808 625519.
A vet assured an owner that her two rabbits were both female and she could take her time getting them neutered.
She was understandably shocked when a few months later one of the rabbits gave birth to two babies.
Anim-Mates volunteer Lisa Inns said: “As soon as the baby rabbits were big enough to be separated from their mother, she had her neutered and gave the youngsters into our care.
“We named them Barney and Wilma.
“They are incredibly friendly and calm and love a cuddle. They are inseparable, so we would like to rehome them as a pair.
“As French Lops, they will grow quite big and require a spacious shed and run.”
Barney and Wilma are neutered and vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD.
If you can offer them a home, call Lisa on 01634 578258 or 07796 368243.
