Armed police called to Grange Road, Gillingham after reports of people in car with a firearm

Armed police descended on a residential street after people reported seeing a gun in a car.
Officers stopped a vehicle in Grange Road, Gillingham just after 10am on Tuesday, April 4.
One man was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and released on bail until April 26.
A police spokesman said officers were called at 10.05am after receiving reports that the occupants of the vehicle may have been in possession of a firearm.
The vehicle has been recovered and enquiries are ongoing.
