Three cars have been involved in a crash in Rainham.
Police were called after the accident in Mierscourt Road at around 8am today.
One car was said to have mounted the kerb.
A witness to the aftermath, Lorna Stevens, said the route had seen a lot more traffic due to drivers having to divert because of the M2 coastbound exit and entry slip roads being shut for long-term roadworks.
She added: "It is a busy road and mothers walk their children up and down it.
"It was busy before but now it's getting busier.
"I just thought something like this was going to happen eventually."
No injuries have been reported.
