Three crashes on the M2 this morning caused tailbacks for motorists during the rush hour.
The first happened just before 7am one coast-bound carriageway of the M2 between the Gillingham and Sittingbourne turn-offs.
The crash involved two vehicles, and one ended up facing the wrong way on the carriageway.
The emergency services closed one lane of the motorway while they dealt with the incident and the carriageway was fully reopened by 8.30am.
Then on the opposite side of the motorway between the same junctions, two other vehicles crashed shortly after 8am.
One woman had to be taken to hospital after the smash.
Then at about 8.25am the emergency services were called out to a report of a collision on the London-bound carriageway of the M2 between the Faversham and Sittingbourne turn-offs.
Two lanes were reported to be blocked for a short period until the vehicles could be moved to the hard shoulder at about 9am.
No one suffered any injuries during the incident.
