Three arrests made after fight breaks out at The Strand in Gillingham

Three women have been arrested - including one for assaulting a police officer - after a group of women lashed out in a brawl.
Police were called to the incident which happened just before 5pm at The Strand, Strand Approach Road, Gillingham on Monday, July 23.
A video of the attack at the Medway Council owned facility was posted on Facebook but has since been reported and taken down.
Kent Police spokesman James Walker said: "It was reported that a group of women were involved in an altercation and officers subsequently arrested three people.
"A 46-year-old woman from Manchester and a 17-year-old girl from Gillingham were arrested on suspicion of affray.
"A 40-year-old woman from Gillingham was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
"All three remain in custody as enquiries continue and no serious injuries have been reported following the incident."
Assistant director of transformation at Medway Council, Carrie McKenzie, said: “We understand there was a disturbance outside The Strand leisure facilities.
The incident was not reported to any member of staff at the time, but we understand that the police attended and dealt with the incident.
Our customers using the leisure facilities, such as the outdoor swimming pool, were not affected by the incident.”
