Hollywood star Tom Cruise has returned to Kent to film for his upcoming blockbuster.

The Top Gun star has been pictured arriving near the Historic Chatham Dockyard where he is believed to be filming for Mission Impossible 8.

Wearing tinted sunglasses and a navy jumper it is the third time since October the 60-year-old has been spotted in the Towns.

He was joined by Mission Impossible producer and director Christopher McQuarrie.

Tom was seen in the pilot seat of his Airbus Helicopter H130 as he landed with the crew.

The A-list Hollywood star was last seen in Kent back in October when a video showed his helicopter flying over the Rochester stretch of River Medway, and descending into the Medway Council building.

At the time, several people ran out of their offices to get a closer look as the chopper came into land and a few stood on the other side of the river yelling "Tom, we love you."

The actor was seen to turn and wave.

He was seen arriving in Chatham the following day at around 4.30pm before being taken to the nearby Historic Dockyard, where a film crew has taken over the area.

The private helicopter was seen over the river next to the Medway City Estate in Strood before it landed in front of the council's Gun Wharf headquarters. It travelled from a heliport in central London.

One KentOnline reporter took it upon themselves to track down the actor when rumours were swirling last year he was in the Towns.

However, it was an unsuccessful trip as Maverick appeared elusive. Despite this, she wasn't the only one on the look out for Tom, who also had "super-fan" Sammy J who had roped her friends Sandra Johnson and Paul Muscat

The trio had been there since 2pm just in case he came earlier than previous days.
