A two-year-old boy had to be taken to hospital after getting his fingers trapped in a door at his home in Strood.
The toddler, who has not been named, was at home with his mum in Downside, earlier this morning when he somehow got his fingers stuck in between a small gap between the hinges and the door frame.
The incident happened at about 11am and his fingers were stuck in the gap and squashed for about 10 minutes.
His mum called 999 and firefighters and paramedics were called out to the home and a crew from Strood used a crowbar to prize the gap open immediately to free the tot.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “He was crying and was being comforted by his mum.
“He had squashed his fingers and they were bruised, he was taken to hospital by paramedics to get checked out.”
