Southeastern trains delayed between Swanley and Rochester after landslide near tracks at Meopham
17:15, 25 February 2015
Passengers can expect delays between London Victoria and Rochester this evening after a "landslide" near train tracks.
A spokesman for Network Rail said a "piece of chalk" had fallen from the embankment near the tracks at Meopham.
He said that as it had fallen near the conductor line, it had to be switched off whilst they removed it causing delays.
Trains are affected from Swanley towards Rochester. Services in the other direction are unaffected by this disruption.
The line is now clear but there will be knock on effects until at least 7pm.
