Man attacked in Shakespeare Road, Gillingham

A dispute inside a shop led to a customer being attacked by three men.

Police are appealing for information following the incident on Thursday night.

The three men are said to have entered the shop in Shakespeare Road, Gillingham , at around 8.45pm.

They had a verbal dispute with a member of staff and another shopper.

The customer, a man in his 30s, then left the shop but was followed by the trio.

One of the men is alleged to have punched him in his face before they chased him and continued to assault him before they fled.

The victim, who suffered head, arm and leg injuries, was treated at a local hospital before being discharged.

The attackers are white and in their early 20s. One of them was wearing a khaki green coat with a black fur hood, Adidas tracksuit bottoms, black trainers and a black baseball cap.

A second suspect was wearing a grey body warmer and had brown hair.
