Three people have been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out on a 100ft barge at the Historic Dockyard in Chatham.
Firefighters were called to The Turks Shipyard, in Main Gate Road, Chatham, shortly after 11.30am.
When they arrived the on-onboard crew had managed to put out the fire, but were suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crew members helped give the three men oxygen therapy.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “The barge is on the slip way on dry land and firefighters are using compressed air foam to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.”
The fire has not effected the historic attraction.
