Motorists and commuters faced delays ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.
Delays on the M2 have now cleared after a broken lorry closed one lane and blocked the entry slip from junction two at Rochester earlier this afternoon.
Delays were stretching back to the Darenth Interchange, but have now cleared.
Traffic struggled for much longer on the M20 after a crash between junction three for the M26 and junction four for Leybourne.
There was congestion on the M26 to the M25 junction 5 and on the M20 to junction 2. This has now cleared.
A broken down vehicle between the Darenth Interchange and junction 1B for Princes Road caused delays on the M25.
This has also now cleared.
Earlier power problems with Eurostar and High Speed Southeastern services have now been resolved.
An incident at Margate station also caused delays for rail passengers.
