TruGym names yet another opening date of April 20 in Chatham Maritime
12:01, 29 March 2015
The manager of a gym due to open earlier this month has apologised to members as it is not yet ready due to complications with the internal construction.
People who joined TruGym in Chatham Maritime are disappointed because they cannot use the new facility despite signing up months ago.
The Messenger originally highlighted the delays in opening in January, when manager Karl Patton said it would be open in the first or second week in March.
However, that deadline passed but Mr Patton revealed this week the gym will be up and running from Monday, April 20.
He said: “We are very sorry for the delays. We were hoping to open in March but have been unable to because of complications with the building process.
“We now have all our staff in place and members will be invited in a week prior to the opening to get their membership cards and have a look at the facilities.”
In the meantime, those who signed up can use TruGym in Maidstone or Bromley until opening day.
