Delays have eased after a vehicle broke down in the Medway Tunnel this morning.
The Kwik fit van broke down in the Strood-bound tunnel shortly before 9am.
Police closed one lane of the A289 in the tunnel and motorists heading from the Chatham and Gillingham direction are facing delays.
One motorist who didn't want to be named, said: "I got to the Medway Police Station area at about 9.10am and it took me another half-an-hour to arrive on Medway City Estate."
It is understood a recovery truck is on the way to pick up the broken down van.
