Man and woman arrested on suspicion of assault after woman beaten up in Luton Road, Chatham

Two people who were arrested on suspicion of assault after a woman was found beaten have been released from police custody.
The assault happened on Tuesday, February 28 at 8.27am in Luton Road, Chatham.
Police arrested a 23-year-old man from Gillingham and a 19-year-old woman from Chatham, on the same day in Gillingham.

They have since been released pending further inquiries.
The woman who was attacked was taken to a London hospital for treatment and has been discharged.
Police were yesterday seen searching a block of flats after the attack.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and they are looking to establish the full circumstances.
