Two arrests as drugs and weapons seized from address in Mills Terrace, Chatham

An axe, a knuckle duster and more than two kilograms of suspected drugs were seized after a vehicle was stopped by police patrols.
Non-uniformed police spotted the suspicious vehicle in a car park off Capstone Road, Chatham last Friday afternoon (July 7).
The vehicle was searched which led to the uncovering of 15 street deals of cocaine and a sum of cash. The driver, a 28-year-old man was arrested.
Inquiries led to a residential address in Mills Terrace, which when searched was found to be housing large amounts of powdered substances and an arsenal of weaponry including the axe, a knuckle duster, a sword and a lock knife.
Another suspect, a 47-year-old woman was also arrested on the same day.
Both suspects were taken into custody and have been released on bail.
