If you are going to have a crash Pier Road, Chatham, during the rush hour is probably not the best place or time to do it.

For two unlucky motorists, that was what happened this afternoon.

A black car ended up on the pavement and a blue car finished sideways against the flow of traffic around 5pm tonight.

Police were soon on the scene quizzing the drivers and witnesses, which was not surprising considering the collision happened just yards from the front of Medway police station.

To make matters worse, the aftermath was also captured on video.

It is not believed anyone was hurt.

Kent Fire and Rescue was at the scene at the traffic lights outside Asda supermarket.
