Grain: Two hurt in crash in Chapel Road

Two people were taken to hospital after a crash which left one man trapped.
The emergency services were called to the two car crash on Chapel Road, Grain, just after 6pm last night.
Crews were faced with a man in his 30s who was trapped by his injuries in one of the vehicles.
Working with paramedics to assess the patient, firefighters then used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car to gain access to the man, who was removed from his vehicle and placed in the care of paramedics.
A woman in her early 40s was removed from the other vehicle with help.
Both casualties were taken to hospital. The man was taken to King's College Hospital in London with neck and back injuries.
Firefighters left the scene at 8pm but the road remained closed until 11pm.
