Two men released by police after reported fight and machete attack in Luton Road, Chatham

Two men arrested after a fight in Chatham have been released by police.
Police were called to Luton Road at 6.20pm on Friday,May 6 following reports a fight involving two men.
After searching the area they found a man with an injured hand and shoulder, who said he had been attacked with a machete.
The 21-year-old, from Strood, was taken to a local hospital for treatment and also arrested on suspicion of affray and criminal damage, but has since been released without charge.
Further inquiries led police to a further arrest, and footage later emerged showing an officer punching a man as he appeared to resist arrest.
Police say a 20-year-old man, from Chatham, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency services worker.
He has since been released pending further inquiries.
