Brothel in Chatham: Man and woman charged with running prostitution ring

Police have charged a man and woman on suspicion of running a brothel.
Hongman Wu and Yafen Zheng of Barrier Road, Chatham, were arrested after officers attended a property in Dock Road in the town yesterday at 11.30am.
Today, they were charged with controlling prostitution for gain.
They have been remanded to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
It comes as figures obtained by KMTV show there has been a major increase in brothels operating in the county.
More than 20 have been discovered in the last three years.
Five brothels were discovered in 2015, rising to seven in 2016 and nine last year.
There have been 67 brothel-related arrests since 2015.
