UNIVERSITY of Kent vice chancellor Professor Julia Goodfellow urged new students to aim high and make the most of their new found independence.
In her welcome address given yesterday at the start of Freshers Week at the Universities at Medway campus, Chatham Maritime, she said:
“Every one of you has already put in a lot of hard work just to be at the University of Kent.
"You now need to build on your academic success so far and really make sure you get the best out of your time here.”
“That includes taking advantage of all the opportunities here at Medway.
“But it also means going out and getting into the career that you really want – one that will really reward you in your lives.”
