Bakery chain Greggs has confirmed its latest new branch in Kent will open by the end of the year.
The outlet will be opening in Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre in Gillingham, in the former Carphone Warehouse unit, opposite Poundland.
The shopping centre posted a teaser onto its Facebook page in mid-August, stating: "Exciting news. Can you guess?" alongside a picture of a sign showing the words: "Guess Who?"
The sign also had an image of a sausage roll and said: "Greggs, Gillingham. Hempstead Valley, Coming Soon."
Hempstead Valley have also now posted a teaser on Facebook showing that it is progressing, saying "Oooooh, not long now."
Tables and chairs have been set up inside, and promotional screens have been added.
The company has not confirmed the exact opening date.
When asked by KentOnline for more details, a spokesman said: “Greggs is scheduled to open a new shop in Gillingham, Kent later this year and while we are unable to share any details at the moment, we will be sure to share further information in due course.”
