Utility player Grant Baxter agrees to stay with Invicta Dynamos for another year

Grant Baxter, one of Invicta Dynamos’ longest-serving players, has signed on for another season at the Silver Blades Ice Rink.
The popular utility player, pictured, first appeared for the Dynamos in the 1998-99 campaign, but his presence became more permanent from 2003 and he played seven consecutive seasons, making 275 appearances and notching 125 points, before joining Romford Raiders for 2010-2011.
Baxter returned to Dynamos last season and did enough to persuade head coach Kevin Parrish that he was worth another contract.
Parrish said: "Grant is not a young age anymore but he still gives his all whenever he is called upon and the fact he can play in defence or attack is an added bonus.
"You always know what you are going to get with Bax. On the ice he will hit everything, chase everything and challenge anyone, while off the ice he is a great character."
Dynamos open their league campaign at home to the Milton Keynes Thunder on Sunday, September 2.
