Bird of prey spotted hunting in Gillingham garden

A husband and wife spotted the rare sight of a bird of prey hunting in their back garden.
Helen Rowland, 43, and her husband Steve, 44, live in Gillingham, just off of Barnsole Road.

Helen said: "The bird landed in our garden with another bird in its beak, then started pecking at it and killing it.
"My husband was the one who noticed the bird, and thought at first it was a falcon of some kind.
"I love getting photos of wildlife so I grabbed my phone and captured the video.
"Sadly it flew away with its prey in its beak and left blood and mess on our pavement.
"We have never seen birds of prey in our garden and believe the one we saw was either a falcon or kestrel but would appreciate someone identifying it."
