A teenager is due to appear in court charged with robbing a newsagents.

Police were called to Wainscott Stores, in Wainscott Road, on Friday night following reports of a robbery.

A 17-year-old boy, from Rochester, was arrested the next day (Saturday) and has been charged with robbery.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Youth Court today (Monday).

A 13-year-old boy, from Rochester, has also been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been bailed until March 25 pending further enquiries.
