Suspected burglars in Chatham arrested after car stopped in Strood

Weapons and drugs were seized from a car believed to be linked to a suspected burglary.
Police were called after suspicious activity was reported at a property in Chatham.
Five people have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after intruders were allegedly spotted in a garden in Palmerstone Road at 3.10am on Thursday.
Officers were called and identified a Mercedes believed to be linked to the suspects.
The car was spotted in Weston Road, Strood less than an hour later at 3.50am and five people were arrested.
A search of the car also reportedly found a crowbar and baseball bat as well as cannabis, a police spokesman said.
The five men aged in their 20s and 30s from London and Essex were taken into custody and have been since released on bail.
They have been ordered to answer bail at a police station between February 6 and 7.
