A woman has been arrested after a huge emergency response at a hospital.
Police received a report of a woman in a distressed state at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham at 10.30am.
A spokesman said: "Officers attended and a 55-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage."
A witness said both exits at the hospital had been blocked by police cars at about 1.40pm and the South East Coast Ambulance incident report van was also there.
Another said visitors were not able to gain access to the building as there was a police emergency going on, with approximately 20 police cars and three fire engines at about 2pm.
