Police are taking no further action after a woman claimed she was dragged by the hair and kicked several times as she was robbed of her purse in the centre of Rochester.
Officers are no longer appealing for witnesses after the woman, who has not been named, said she was robbed by two men in the High Street.
The woman was walking past the entrance to the former railway station when the alleged incident happened, shortly after 12.10am on Friday.
She told police her attackers pulled up in a white car and one grabbed her hair and dragged her to the ground by it.
They then reportedly kicked her a number of times before escaping with £25 cash and other items from her purse.
One of the men was described as being white, 5ft 10in and of stocky build. He spoke with a foreign accent and was wearing a white t-shirt with a black logo on the front.
The other was described as being a slim Asian man, 5ft 10in with black hair and a beard, both were said to be aged between 20 and 30.
Police say they are no longing investigating and that no offences took place.
