Police detained a woman last night after they were called out to a car park in Chatham.
Officers were called to the multi-storey car park in The Brook at about 11pm following reports of concern for the welfare of a woman.
Officers arrived on the scene and and managed to persuade the woman, who has not been named, to come down.
The area, near The Pentagon Shopping Centre, was cordoned-off while officers dealt with the incident.
A Kent Police spokesman confirmed officers had been called at 11.04pm.
He added: “Officers attended the scene and nearby traffic was stopped for a short period before the woman was detained under the Mental Health Act.”
